If you touch type, why not use keystroke combinations instead of your mouse to launch your favorite programs.
Menu–> Preferences–> Keyboard Shortcuts, will start the configuration file.
In the example above, you’ll notice a strange key name. This is an extended key on my wireless keyboard. The keyboard has music controls, opens my web browser, launches the calculator etc. automagically. Keyboard Shortcuts will try and configure those keys when it sees them.
For anything else, you can quickly configure an ALT-Some key, or CTL-Some Key, and tell the software what you wish to launch with that key combination.
Simple as that! So stop using your mouse when a simple key combo will do the trick, much faster!
