Desktop Sharing

Sometimes in a new Linux install, the Vino desktop VNC server fails to have shortcuts in the menu. To get your Vino server up and running in a quick, open your terminal and type the following commands:

Enable sharing by running:  vino-preferences

Then start the server by running:  /usr/lib/vino/vino-server –sm-disable

You can add the above command in your Startup Applications if you need to launch it a boot time.

Other Hints

Change your DNS servers to:

208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

Stop using search engines that track you!
